Fuji Xerox New Zealand adopts Future Fit Business Benchmark for sustainability
Fuji Xerox New Zealand is excited to announce it has become the third organisation in New Zealand to adopt the Future Fit Business Benchmark for sustainability.
Developed by the Future Fit Foundation in partnership with some of the world’s leading companies, the Future Fit Benchmark is a global movement to protect the future of the planet by supporting businesses to operate under a sustainable model.
Adopting the Future Fit Business Benchmark for sustainability demonstrates Fuji Xerox New Zealand’s commitment to reducing environmental and social impacts. It also reinforces the company’s long-term interest to tackle issues that matter using robust, third-party measures.
It provides a framework to measure and set targets for both negative and positive company impacts, and an innovation guide for companies to transform their business models and ensure development of sustainable products and services.
Peter Thomas, Managing Director of Fuji Xerox New Zealand, says: “The Future Fit Benchmark provides a transparent, science-backed, independent framework to align our sustainability goals and practices. We’ve already been working towards many of the Future Fit Breakeven Goals, but by becoming a Future Fit organisation and measuring our progress against this benchmark, we now have enhanced structure in our approach.”
The Future Fit Business Benchmark is based on 23 Breakeven goals which collectively represent the ‘line in the sand’ every business must reach to build a Future Fit Society. These goals align with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals to be achieved by 2030.
“We believe the Future Fit Benchmarks will provide a way to substantiate commitments we’ve made to ensure meaningful progress on critical issues like climate change or a circular economy, and further align initiatives already underway,” says Mr. Thomas.
