Our sustainability strategy represents a balanced, long-term approach to economic activity, environmental responsibility and social progress, supported by sound corporate governance.
Fuji Xerox addresses sustainability at each step of the value chain: from raw materials and parts procurement, to our development and manufacturing operations, to the customer use of our products, and finally, to the disposal of our products at end-of-life.
We also actively support our customers’ sustainability efforts. Our investment in digital transformation technology helps to reduce their reliance on paper, and their energy consumption. We enable our customers to share information without creating an inefficient trail of documents and manual delivery processes.

Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific is the first company in the document management and solutions field to be a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) GOLD Community Member and supports the mission of GRI to empower decision makers everywhere, through GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards and its multi-stakeholder network, to take action towards a more sustainable economy and world.
Fuji Xerox has overseas operations in Asia Pacific including China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
Our community initiatives include:
• The Fuji Xerox Next Generation Leaders: Our flagship programme. Developed in partnership with the Sir Peter Blake Trust, every year NGL takes 30 high-achieving secondary school students on an inspiring journey. We invite notable community and business leaders to join us in motivating the students to think about how they can become tomorrow’s leaders. Over 105 students have graduated from this programme.
• Inspire: Packing the essence of NGL into a one-day event for 350 secondary school students in Auckland. Inspire is held annually in conjunction with The Sir Peter Blake Trust’s Leadership Week and Red Socks Day. It features a line-up of motivational speakers and is hosted by one of our customers, the Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Over 600 secondary school students and more than 50 partner schools have been through this programme.

We are a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) GOLD member. This puts us at the heart of a collaborative community that shapes the future of sustainability and reporting, and empowers decision-making towards a more sustainable economy and world.
We are also the first company in the New Zealand print industry to have a Product Stewardship Scheme accredited by the Ministry for the Environment. We are one of only 14 companies accredited nationwide.
• Over 99.7% of our end-of-life products are recycled and reused year-on-year.
• We have a 100% take-back recycling policy for used equipment (including third-party equipment).
• We divert over 1,200 tonnes of branded equipment and consumables away from landfills each year.
• We hold ISO 14001 certification, the very highest standard of environmental responsibility.
• We’ve been awarded the Environmental Choice New Zealand eco-label seal of approval in recognition of our commitment to the environment.
• Our new Auckland National Office is a Green Star 4 facility, meaning best practice was applied to the design, build and fit out.
Respect for human rights and non-discrimination is deeply embedded in the Fuji Xerox Code of Conduct. The Fujifilm Group Charter for Corporate Behaviour identifies "respect for basic human rights" as the fundamental spirit guiding the activities of the Fujifilm Group.
Every year, Fuji Xerox conducts educational courses on the Code of Conduct for all our employees and those of our affiliates. This is combined with training on such topics as human rights in general, sexual harassment, power harassment, and supporting good mental health.
Code of Conduct education is also provided in programmes that target specific strata of the company, such as new employees and newly-appointed managers. We also raise human rights awareness through communications, including a human rights-specific bulletin to executive general managers twice a year.
Fuji Xerox endeavours to prevent our global supply chain and overseas suppliers from committing human rights violations, such as child and forced labour. We require compliance in ethical procurement and carry out through, rigorous evaluations.
We adhere to the guidelines within the EICC Code of Conduct which is committed to supporting the rights and well-being of workers and communities affected by the global electronics supply chain.
We have a clear governance structure for sustainability: our Sustainability Department reports to the Chief Operating Officer and ultimately the Managing Director. Responsibility for sustainability performance is owned across our business.
