Fuji Xerox New Zealand transitioned our Environmental Management System (EMS) from ISO14001:2004 to ISO14001:2015. In doing so, we took the opportunity to align our Management System with British Standards BS 8900:2013 (Guidance for managing sustainable development) to incorporate socioeconomic and governance factors of our business in a more comprehensive Sustainability Management System (SMS).
|Accredited product stewardship:
Fuji Xerox New Zealand was the first in our sector to have our voluntary product stewardship scheme formally accredited by the Minister for the Environment in 2015, and in 2017, we were the first in our sector to improve our scheme.
It is critical to our operation that we maintain our Environmental Choice certification on our products as it plays a vital role in maintaining our reuse and recycle rated of over 99.5% of the products we take back.
|Institute of Business Ethics:
Fuji Xerox New Zealand joined the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) to help develop an ethics programme. We envisage the IBE will support us on this journey by sharing best practices, which we aspire to achieve, and by helping us develop a comprehensive ethics programme.
|Sustainable Business Network:
We have been proud supporters of SBN for many years and we are proud to be a foundation partner of their Circular Economy Accelerator as we aim to be a leader in the emerging circular economy. We have also partnered with them on many projects including producing an open source Product Stewardship Roadmap which enables other organisations to work towards establishing their own product stewardship schemes. We also support their Now Crowd which helps our millennials drive further sustainability throughout our organisation.
|Sustainable Business Council:
As an organisation committed to sustainable development, it’s a key part of our operation to ensure we are good for communities, the environment, and the economy. Our partnership with the SBC is one of the ways that we choose to partner for good and help drive sustainability through our organisation, our community and our economy.
The life cycle association of New Zealand plays an important part in the drive for the upcoming circular economy. Fuji Xerox NZ aims to be a driver in promoting a circular economy through our partnership with likeminded organisations, collaborating for a more sustainable future
|Climate leaders Coalition:
In December 2017, Fuji Xerox New Zealand officially signed up to the Climate Leaders Coalition Climate Change statement. Please go to www.climateleaderscoalition.org.nz to learn more about this commitment
